Mardi Gras Long Beach Style. 2010 (A photo blog)

Mardi Gras Long Beach Style.

I had been to part of it the year before with END and his son Zolt….We had seen the Samba Dancers and there was music and dancing to be found….I thought if I came back this year with Kim at night it would be a blast. Well the nighttime thing wasn’t going to work out….So I decided it would still be worth going down in the daytime and maybe taking Jenna and Maddie to watch the Parade…
Maddie was having a bad day so it ended up just being me and Jenna…..It sounded like there was a lot more stuff this year…Even a parade….So we headed down while the rest of the clan was at Jacob’s Baseball game.
The event itself was too spread out and obviously we got there too early…..Because in the daytime there wasn’t a whole lot going on….But the parade was definitely interesting….And hey Free events…..You always get your moneys worth.

Here are some photos from the adventure
There was some music

So Mardi Gras is growing….Next year maybe Kim and I can do the more adult nighttime Dancing and partying part….But it was still fun and made for some interesting pictures…..
I will leave you with this parting shot of The Queen Mary with Parker’s Lighthouse in the foreground…
